Knighthood is currently an original webcomic that I am developing. The story revolves around a servant girl named Kena who decides to enter the trials to become a knight. As a knight, land and payment are guaranteed in exchange for service so Kena decides to take on the challenge for the chance to provide a better life for her family.

My goal is to start publishing and sharing my webcomic online by this June-July on online platforms such as Tumblr, Webtoons, and TapasticMy posting schedule will be about 1-3 pages a week with the ultimate goal of collecting the pages by May 2019 to print and sell the first volume.
With this webcomic, I want to open a discussion on issues such as racism, sexism, class separation, immigration and much more. I believe it's important to not only have fun reading fantastical stories but to also learn valuable lessons.
This illustration metaphorically represents Kena accepting her duty to become a knight.
These were the first sketches I did for the story, where I explored different characters and relationships.
These are the main cast of characters for the webcomic.
Here I was beginning to explore different costume designs for the Princess as I imagine she has a bountiful wardrobe and will be changing outfits constantly throughout the series.
These are the different village houses designs, from high class to the lower class.
This is what the royal castle where Kena works at will possibly look like. Here I am deciding what the structure and purpose of the castle will be.
This illustration is a concept art piece of Kena walking through the streets. Here I wanted to establish what the world and the characters will look like interacting visually.
My inspiration comes from a variety of places but visually, these artists and media play key roles in my current artistic expression.
Thank you so much for looking!
